IES Consaburum and its #HEY #Erasmusplus KA 229 project. The last day 5th took place at Vršilnica , Novi Dvori Estate in which we attended an expert speaker lecture consisted on teaching about choices and moral dilemmas as an example of professional challenge. Afterwards, all the participants put into practice a field trip with gamification and digital storytelling as a demonstration of #augmentedreality game. Unforgettable memories of a overwhelming teacher training experience in which we have forged tight bonds between the countries involved in the project “History and its effects on today’s youth”
IES Consaburum and its #HEY #Erasmusplus KA 229 project. We started day 4 with the Croatian’s team presentations about new teaching methodologies such as #PBL, #Gamification, #FlippedClassroom and learning/ teaching designers which will be applied in our project. We continued the session by presenting our “I remember” proposals. Croatia’s interview was based on a testimony about the Homeland War and how that impacted on the youth at that time. Greece showed us an emotive interview to a woman who lived the turbulent years of the independence of the Congo. She and her family were forced to leave all their belongings in a hurry to survive. Cyprus also gave us a touching testimony about the Turkish invasion of the north of the island and the consequent exile to the south. Spain explained the 11-M, the worst terrorist attack that we faced in our history. Eventually, Norway, as they haven’t got recent conflicts of their own, presented an interview to a soldier who fought with the UN in Middle- East conflicts. After the presentations, we started to coordinate the main aspects of the implementation of our project: tasks for the students, taking into account the application form, and tasks for teachers in order to develop our teaching practice. Other minor arraignments were done as well and we headed afterwards to the oficial lunch of the mobility. Con Rafael Torres. IES Consaburum and its #HEY #Erasmusplus KA 229 project. Today was a day for emotions and we started with the visit to the Jasenovac Memorial site, which held a concentration camp during the #WW2. The aim of the visit for us teachers was to learn how to make a visit to a museum an active learning activity for students. Afterwards we headed to Karlovac City Museum, in which we could feel the Homeland War of Croatia through all our senses. The idea was to learn how to apply#PBL methodology and outdoor learning in an informal education context. Getting to know more deeply how to introduce sensible conflicts and issues to the students .Con Rafael Torres, Servicio Español para la Internacionalización de la Educación Ana Torres Miján Ana Camuñas ETwinning España Ana Verbo Mariagutierrez
IES Consaburum and its #HEY #Erasmusplus KA 229 project. Teachers visited the Documenta Zagreb , a place where visitors learn how to deal with conflict and how to reach understanding. We were witnesses of the violence in the 90ies in the region and we understood better the Homeland War in Croatia. The workshops afterwards were amazing and very helpful for teaching values in classroom (we bring our “future” with us 😉). In the same location we visualised an example of good practices with Petra Katarincic and its students (Melani is now one member of our group 🤗) . They presented the film “Symbols of Hate” commissioned by #Goethe institute . We finished the day with a City rally in Zagreb, in which we were distributed in international teams in order to find different clues hidden across the city monuments. We ended the day exhausted and desperate for a glass of warm mulled wine while chatting about the exciting experiences of the day. IES Consaburum #Erasmusplus project #HEY. After a warm welcome on behalf the Croatian team, we had a round table about the differences and similarities in our educational systems and the methodologies implemented in the classroom. Afterwards, the Croatian Coordinator Željka gave us a great presentation about how to develop the critical thinking among the students and how to teach 21st century competencies in the history lesson. At the end of the session, Croatian students, in a very accurate English, gave us a special lesson about their “I remember activity” . A day full or ideas, #PBL and good practices on how to teach key competences in classroom
#Zagreb at #Advent. The sound of Christmas bells, the scent of gingerbread, mulled wine and various other delicacies... During the Advent season, Croatian’s capital offers the best genuine Christmas atmosphere across Europe. We’re enjoying that wonders with our project partners from #Cyprus Nik and Yiota Eleftheriadou. Thank you for that unexpected tour around the old town!
