Are you a 16-30 year old running a project with a European dimension? If so, you have until 23 February to register for the 2015 edition of the Charlemagne Youth Prize. The aim of the Prize is to encourage the development of European consciousness among young people, as well as their participation in European integration projects. Read on to be in with a chance of winning a cash prize as well as trips to Aachen and the European Parliament.
The Prize is awarded to projects undertaken by young people which foster understanding, promote the development of a shared sense of European identity, and offer practical examples of Europeans living together as one community. The three winning projects are awarded €5,000, €3,000, and €2,000 respectively. Their representatives will be invited to visit the European Parliament in Brussels or Strasbourg in the autumn. Representatives of the 28 national winning projects will be invited to the Charlemagne Youth Prize award ceremony and the International Charlemagne Prize of the City of Aachen award ceremony two days later during a four-day trip to Aachen next May.
