8 a.m. Video presentations and power point shows of the participants of ”The best volunteer of my hometown” The Finnish pupils had made a video of Tomi Tajakka who is a singer in a Finnish band touring a lot in Europe. Tomi lives in IIsami, his home town, and makes voluntary work in the field of music for yougsters.
9.30 a.m. Seminar of being a EU citizen. Also a group of pupils of the upper secondary came to listen. International coordinator Maija Jeskanen from Metsäkartano told about the EVS European Voluntary Service (European Solidarity corps) and possibilities to go abroad. Two volunteers Jean and Dani from France told about their experiences in Finland. What are the challenges and benefits of EVS.
Project worker Leena Mulari who works for Iisalmi city and looks for possibilities for assiciations and clubs to become more international. She showed a video of two young women ( participants of two Upper Savo youth councils) who had been in Poland in a youth meeting recently.
