ERASMUS+ KA-101- 2018- DISEÑANDO UN CENTRO (NEURO)- EDUCATIVO / DESIGNING OUR (NEURO)- SCHOOL
We've been awarded again with a new E+ KA- 101 project. It consists on 9 mobilities for teachers' training in new methodologies and foreign languages skills. Taking into account the information gathered during the internal assessment of our High School, we detected among the students, specially among those who belong to a disadvantage environments, a lack of entrepreneurial initiative and little involvement in the projects which require a massive effort of the whole educational community to go ahead. Curiously, these same deficiencies are detected as well in a large part of teachers and families. We do not success in getting their interest in our subjects and that causes discouragement, also among the teaching staff. There seems to be a gap between our way of teaching, with traditional methods, and the brand new demands of the 21st century society. The educational responses derived from this analysis imply the need of teaching practice updating of seven teacher who are willing to start the change in our school with:
-New active teaching methods, derived from researches in the field of neuroeducation, such as project-based learning, Mindfulness, gamification, Design- Thinking, etc, in order to provoque again in students expectations for learning - New methods to work in the classroom with different learning rhythms, with students less motivated and with students from other countries - Design learning zones in the classroom, following the Design- Thinking principles. A good way to make that posible could be a new design of the classroom creating inside different corners of tasks, promoting collaborative learning, - Continue exploring new forms of internationalization and educational opportunities offered by the European Union. Enhance the competence in English language among the teachers in order to make posible the development of new bonds with schools from other European Union countries - Promoting the ICT tools among the teachers and students - To develop projects connected with our vast cultural heritage in this European year of the cultural heritage |
